Loosing Weight will be Harder if you Fail to Stop Eating after Dinner

You are watching a favorite movie or a TV show or an exciting match in a sports channel after dinner. Tomorrow is a holiday. No office. No school :-) Suddenly you feel that you are hungry. It may be a mental feeling of hunger that’s all. You are not actually hungry because you have taken dinner just 1 or 2 hours ago. But you cannot control yourself. So during the break you go to kitchen or open the refrigerator to get some food. Ahh… you have got one of your favorite foods. It might be cake, it might be a delicious burger and so on. You take the food enjoy it during the show. The food has added more pleasure to the show. After the show is over you go to bed.

If it is you and if you do this very frequently then without a doubt you will gain extra weight within a very short period of time. And if you are near to be an overweight person then you will be an obese person. But why?

Well, the foods we eat are converted to energy and other important particles for proper functioning of our body by a process called metabolism. While we sleep our body is in rest and need less energy than the other times when we walk, run or do some kind of activities. If you take foods before you go to sleep at night then most of the foods will be converted to fat even if it contains a very little amount of fat. Because there is a little need of energy during that time. You won’t get fat for this habit overnight. But continuing this habit frequently will get you some extra pounds. That’s for sure. And it is as simple as it sounds.

So if you are serious about maintaining a healthy weight and keeping yourself physically fit then you must avoid this kind of habit. It works against weight loss. You have to understand your demand. Figure out whether you really need to eat something after your dinner. In fact it may be simply a mental demand to eat food at these times.

Learn to control these kind of mental demands. Keep a normal weight. Achieve fitness and wellness.

What you say makes a lot of sense. Usually if I want something after supper or any meal it's got nothing to do with real hunger, it's about comfort. Thanks for your helpful article!
